Overview

This is a guided tour led by Richard Long and Michael Gibbons visiting various sites in Ceantar na nOilean.  

​

We will be visiting:

​

• Trá Bhain prehistoric midden and medieval church.

• Crannógs on Lough Hibirte

• Ballinakill Church

• Abandoned Village in the Old Town 

• Castle distaff

• Crappagh Island

​

The tour will begin at Lettermore Church car park  at 9:00 AM on Saturday the 31st of July (H91 F5W4)

​

Lunch will be provided at Ionad na Feamainne before the final site visit

​

Plenty of parking available at the sites if bringing your own car.  

Due to Covid restrictions, the max amount of passengers on our minibus has been reduced to 8 people, Therefore if you have access to your own vehicle we would appreciate it if you could arrange your own transportation between archeological sites.

Proper attire such as a raincoat and walking shoes are essential.
